Abstract. Over the past decade, forms of destructive behavior on the part of the younger generation in the form of attacks on educational institutions have become more relevant. This article reflects the importance of coordinated activities of law enforcement agencies and psychological and pedagogical services of educational organizations to identify and prevent incidents related to acts of schoolshooting. A social portrait of a typical representative of the destructive Columbine youth movement is presented by identifying the behavioral markers of the latter, as well as identifying traits inherent in persons prone to committing terrorist activities in the form of schoolshooting. The paper highlights innovative methods in pedagogical education aimed at countering the ideology of terrorism and extremism. The aim of the work is to form a social portrait of a representative of the Columbine movement during the analysis of known cases of terrorist acts in the form of schoolshooting. Objectives of the work: to analyze the behavioral aspects of “Columbineers” when the latter commit attacks on educational organizations; to identify behavioral markers characteristic of a follower of the Columbine ideology; to form a social portrait of a typical representative of the Columbine movement based on the identified behavioral markers. The possibility of practical application of the conducted research is to use the presented social portrait as a means of identifying and preventing destructive behavior of adolescents in the form of acts of schoolshooting, followed by the development of a methodological guide to prevent the spread of the ideology of the destructive Columbine youth movement for employees of educational institutions and law enforcement agencies.
