AbstractThe article considers the essence of the concept of strategic planning. The levels of implementation of strategic planning of the education sector are marked. Emphasis is placed on the need for thorough approach to the development of the content of the educational institution development programme. The result of interaction of the external environment with the new autonomous pre-school educational institution was considered. On the example of PEST-analysis and SWOT-analysis, the key characteristics of the external and internal environment of the autonomous pre-school educational institution were studied and analyzed in order to determine the potential of development, Anticipate possible risks and determine the likely opportunities for their prevention. The directions of development of pre-school educational institution are marked.
