Abstract.

Introduction. Despite the regulatory requirement to foster a healthy lifestyle (HLS) among schoolchildren in the context of education digitalisation, the actual readiness of future physical education teachers to use domestic digital communication platforms for extracurricular educational activities remains insufficiently developed and empirically understudied. The aim of the study is to identify the level of readiness of future physical education teachers to use domestic digital communication platforms in promoting a healthy lifestyle among schoolchildren through extracurricular activities, and to analyse students’ attitudes to the pedagogical potential, limitations and conditions of use of these platforms.

Methodology. A questionnaire survey of 50 second- and third-year students of the Physical Education and Life Safety programme at Altai State Pedagogical University (conducted via Yandex Forms); literature analysis; quantitative and qualitative data analysis (descriptive statistics, content analysis of open-ended responses).

Results. Despite the high perceived importance of HLS education (78 % of respondents), readiness to use digital platforms remains partial: 46 % are positively disposed to their pedagogical use, 24 % systematically maintain a healthy lifestyle, 20 % are aware of specialised domestic platforms, and 22 % have experience of HLS-oriented online events; below-average and medium levels of readiness prevail in the cognitive and operational components; 70 % of students reported the absence of assignments specifically aimed at designing educational situations in the digital environment.

Conclusions. The findings reveal a persistent gap between value-based recognition of HLS importance and practical readiness to transfer educational work to domestic digital platforms, thereby providing content-specific guidance for updating professional training programmes.

Author’s Innovation. The pedagogical innovation lies in the targeted consideration of domestic digital communication platforms (including MAX messenger) as a specific instrument for preparing future physical education teachers to foster a healthy lifestyle among schoolchildren, and in proposing a practice-oriented format for their mastery – through designing and analysing extracurricular digital educational activities and reflecting on the risks of digital communication with schoolchildren. The core idea of the study is that purposeful integration of domestic digital platforms into professional training creates the necessary conditions for developing future physical education teachers’ integrative readiness to promote HLS among schoolchildren in a digital educational environment.
